Lizzie Allsop

Elizabeth Allsop (Lizzie):-  49 years young. I served with the Derbyshire Constabulary for 21 years before retiring in 1994.

I moved to the North East four years ago, after meeting my partner Chris. I have been riding motorcycles since the age of 16, having owned some 56 motorcycles during these years.

I currently ride a Harley Heritage Softail Classic.

I was recently elected Treasurer of England 3.

John Bartlett

John Bartlett:- I served with Durham Constabulary for 29 years (approx), and have been retired since 1998.

Bikes ridden (although "ride" might be stretching the truth slightly, "possess" would be more accurate);

Triumph 500 twin - 1967.

Kawasaki GT550 -  1995.

Yamaha XJ900 -   1997.

Les Britton

Les Britton:- Age, 58yrs.  I was a Marine SGT with Northumbria Police, with a total of 27 years service, now retired.

I ride a Harley FLHTP Electra Glide ex-NYPD (1989), fully equipped.

My wife is Pauline, and I have a horse, Sultan (Arab), and a dog Mac (black lab).

Walter Head

Walter Head:- Age 47 (I know I look younger - its a curse!).

I ride God's own cruiser!! (Webmaster - he means the Honda VTX1300.) Everyone seems to copy me!!!  He's the one who copied!  I've had a VFR, a Pan European and now the Arnie look-alike! He wishes!

I served with Northumbria Police for 17 years, only to take enforced retirement in 1994 after an RTA (now called RTC) on duty.  I worked in both Sunderland and Northumberland in CID.

I now work 3 days a week (I've heard it said that was all you ever worked!) as a Travel Agent, so as to get cheap holidays for me and mine!! (Yes, heard you were cheap too.)

I have three children (that he knows of), and live with a tolerant and understanding woman (is there any other kind?) in North Yorkshire.

I enjoy riding, obviously, as well as holidaying abroad and not having any stress.  I would certainly recommend it!!

Richard Jurecki

Richard Jurecki:-  Age 43. I am originally from London, with service as a PC in the Met.

I moved to the great north east wilderness in 1995 and haven't looked back since.

I first (briefly) tried riding a bike in the early 1980's but gave up after failing test, and other commitments. The onset of perceived middle age crisis in late 2003 meant I returned to biking and finally passed my test second time round in 2004 via the Direct Access route and I still haven't told my mum!

I ride about 5000 miles a year on a Honda 650 Dullsville (Deauville!) tourer, all year locally into the dales and sometimes back down south in all but exceptionally bad weather. My longest trip was just after passing my test, and getting my bike, and was to Devon in 10 hours all in one day in non-stop rain!  I plan to get my girlfriend interested in biking, and to have her pass her test and get her own bike to go touring together. Unlikely!

I'm a member of MAG and went to my first bike festivals in 2005 as a rally virgin with a mate, and just missed being washed away by the great flood of The Farmyard at Helmsley and also been to Stormin' The Castle at Witton.

Stu McCarthy

Stu McCarthy:- I am a biker of the old school and only get my knee down when cleaning the back wheel and oiling the chain. I was taught to ride by my dad in 1968 on my first bike, a Triumph Tiger Cub. My latest Triumph is a 2007 Sprint ST, in black, with all the gear for 2-up touring plus the ability to "make progress" as we used to say.

I retired from Northumbria Police in June 2001 after serving out my time in uniform & later CID at Washington, Houghton, Sunderland and Gateshead. They said of me... "He loved the job and knew when to get out". So true!

Now I have a part time job with Durham County Council Education Dept, working term-time only, which enables me to do the 10,000+ miles a year I feel compelled to do as a proud & enthusiastic Blue Knight.

Having served England III chapter as Secretary/Treasurer, and then Vice President, I am honoured to take over the reins as President.

Michael Mount

Michael Mount:- I served 22 years with the Royal Engineers, of which 5 were as Provost Sgt.  Three years of these were as a dispatch rider, riding some of the worst bikes you can imagine.

I married Sharon in 1985.

I joined Durham Constabulary in November 2002 as a Detention Officer, with the associated powers as designated under Section 38 of the Police Reform Act 2002.

I currently ride a Honda Deauville ntv 650, and I ride every day, regardless of weather.

My other interests include running a scout troop, I am an archery coach, and take a night class in music.  Boring git or what!  Webmaster's Note: Far from it Michael, welcome to the Chapter.

Andy Redhead

Andy Redhead:- One of the founder members of the Blue Knights England One when the Blue Knights came to the UK back in 1991.

I helped to form England 3 when England One split up in 1992 to gain better UK coverage.

I have been President of England 3 three times, for a total of 9 years of the chapter's life.

I was medically retired after 23 years service with Northumbria Police (too many falls off both marked and unmarked Police Bikes).

God knows how many sports bikes or miles covered over the years!  I currently ride a Rocket Three.

Contact:- Via a committee member.

Bill Turner

Bill Turner:-  I have been involved with the Blue Knights for four years and as an Honorary Member for two years. I'm a self-employed property developer.

I am divorced (thank God) which gives me lots of time to gallivant around the UK and Europe with a great bunch of lads and some lasses.  I would never have visited half of the places I've seen if it were not for the Knights.

And I've learned to ride my bike a little better each year.  I've met a lot of Knights from all over Europe and some have become good friends, in particular my Irish buddies (they drink nearly as much beer as we Geordies).

I'm 18 at heart and intend to stay that way.  My previous bikes were Yammy Thundercat and a R1.  The love of my life is a Triumph Sprint bought last year, had all the kit fitted so I can tour with the best of them this season.

Ride with Pride -  I try to.
Regards B. T.
