Here's a lovely guesthouse in the Borders region of North Northumberland, about a mile off the A1.  This place is owned by a biker couple (Joan and Jimmy Cordon) and are very welcoming to the Blue Knights.

Visiting the Republic of Ireland?  Drop in on the tea-room mentioned below.  They are very friendly and didn't turn a hair when they were recently invaded by 13 wet & bedraggled bikers looking for a break from the Irish rain.
