The on-site bar will be open from 3 pm, and provides a range of bottled ales from the Durham Brewery, as well as lagers and spirits.

7.30 pm - Evening meal, in the form of a fork buffet, served in the magnificent setting of the college Refectory.

After dinner, it's time for the traditional "Welcome of the Chapters", with a presentation to representatives of visiting chapters and organisations.

The bar will close at midnight.

Saturday begins at 8.30 am with a Full English breakfast, served in the Refectory.

Preparations then begin for the planned Bev Leale Memorial Poker Run charity ride-out, due to depart the college at 10.30 am. Anyone attending only for the Poker Run is asked to ensure they arrive at Ushaw College before 10 am in order to register for the ride.

At 10.15 there will be a Bike Blessing conducted by our Chapter Chaplain, Roz Hall. (There may be press and media coverage of this event). The Poker Run departs Ushaw College at 10.30 am, and expected return time is between 4 and 4.30 pm.  Full details of the event can be found here;

Poker Run 2010.

As an alternative to the Poker Run we are also holding a clay pigeon shoot, organised by England III member John Bartlett, also representing the Glen Gun Club. You are asked to pre-register for the shoot as numbers are limited to 20, but for a donation of £10 per person you will have the opportunity of trying your hand at the shooting for a few hours in the afternoon. Although the shoot will be held close to Ushaw College it is not accessible by car, however transport will be provided. Guests are requested to assemble in the college car park for 12.30 pm. Bacon butties and tea/coffee will be available during the shoot. Provided there are sufficient numbers a shooting competition will be held, with a prize for the winner.

Saturday evening commences at 6.30 pm, with dinner in the Refectory.

Dinner will be followed by the customary "moment's silence" in honour of fallen colleagues.

Prior to the start of the Charity Auction, there will be a presentation to the 2010 Poker Run winner, together with a cheque presentation to Elaine Clarke, representing Herriot Hospice Homecare, of the funds raised from the Poker Run.  The Clay Shooting winner will also be presented with a prize.

We will then hold the Charity Auction, raising funds for Care of Police Survivors (UK COPS). We have some wonderful items to auction this year, and have been very fortunate in gaining sponsorship from a wide range of organisations.  A list of the available auction items, and further information, can be viewed here;

Charity Auction 2010.

Following on from the auction we will be entertained by our own resident live band, "No Direction".

At approximately 11 pm we will announce the total raised for COPS, and we will present a cheque to our Guest of Honour, Christine Fulton MBE, President of UK COPS.

"No Direction" will then help us party the evening away, and the bar will close at midnight.

We return to the Refectory at 8.30 am on Sunday morning for breakfast.
Departure from the site should be complete by 10.30 am.
